Training and Care

Birthe Laufer Dressage offers training for horses and riders of all levels. Whether you’re a Young Rider, Adult Amateur, Professional or someone who is not interested in competing but committed to learning the art of dressage, Birthe encourages you to visit and audit a lesson. Contact her to set up a mutually convenient time.

For horses in her training program, rideability is the #1 goal. Rideability is defined as a light, supple and relaxed horse. This is the hallmark of solid, classical dressage training.
Birthe also understands how different experiences enhance a rider’s learning and success. To that end, Birthe offers bi-monthly clinics with her mentor and trainer, U.S. Olympic Bronze Medalist Christine Traurig.  You can ride in these clinics yourself or have Birthe ride your horse, the choice is yours. In addition, BLD will hold several schooling shows a year to help clients fine tune their show ring skills. If room is available, these schooling shows will be open to the public.
Birthe Laufer Dressage also offers experienced full care and management for your horse. Programs can be individualized to suit you and your horse.
